Our Staff
The most important aspect of any child care facility is its staff. Presently the staff consists of a New York State Credentialed Executive Director, Credentialed Teachers (Toddler to Kindergarten), Assistant Teachers, Office Manager, and Cook. Our multi-cultural,
bi-lingual staff is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment and is committed to academic excellence. Many of our staff have served at the Poughkeepsie Day Nursery for over 20 years. Their dedication and loyalty to our mission helps us to maintain consistency of care for the children at our center. This consistency is vital to young children and offers them security and stability in a hectic changing world.
All staff are certified in CPR, First Aid, Shaken Baby Syndrome, and are mandated Child Abuse Reporters. Our staff must have a current physical, negative mantoux test, child abuse clearance and clear criminal history review on file. Staff attend at least 15 hours of Early Care and Education Training yearly.
