The Poughkeepsie Day Nursery was founded in 1907 and is one of the oldest Early Care and Education facilities in the Nation. The Nursery is located in a National Historic building in beautiful Wheaton Park, one block above the historic Metro North Train Station, overlooking the Hudson River.
We are a Not for Profit organization licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. We offer quality child care in a warm and loving atmosphere and foster a love for learning.

We provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can express themselves and grow. Our multi-cultural programming helps children learn respect for others and develop an appreciation and pride for their own heritage.
The Poughkeepsie Day Nursery offers opportunities and support systems for the growth and well being of all children and their families while meeting our objective of the 3 L's ... Love, Learning and Laughter. Parenting workshops are scheduled throughout the year in an effort to support the educational and emotional growth of the families.
Please note: For more information about our facility and our unique program, please call and we will be happy to arrange a tour.
