The Poughkeepsie Day Nursery is a Not-for-Profit, Early Care and Education facility, licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
We offer quality child care in a warm and loving atmosphere, foster a love for learning, and provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can express themselves and grow. Our multi-cultural programs help children learn respect for others and develop an appreciation and pride for their own heritage.
The Poughkeepsie Day Nursery was founded in 1907 and is one of the oldest Early Care and Education facilities in the Nation. We are located in a National Historic building in beautiful Wheaton Park, one block above the historic Metro North Train Station, overlooking the Hudson River.
Poughkeepsie Day Nursery offers opportunities and support systems for the growth and well being of all children and their families while meeting our objective of the 3 L's ... Love, Learning and Laughter. Our staff is devoted to supporting the educational and emotional growth of all children served.
Please note: For more information about our facility and our unique program, please call (845) 471-1910 and we will be happy to arrange a tour.
